Our aerial artists are well versed on a variety of exciting sky-high props. One of which is aerial lyra. The aerial lyra is a metal hoop that hangs in the air; our performers manipulate their bodies around it! They are strong, agile and graceful – it’s like they’re dancing in the air. Lyra performances can include one or two artists on one hoop. Twisted Orbit can set up a free standing aerial rig at your event, outdoors or indoors. If the space does not allow for aerial rigging we can bring a lollipop lyra, which is a pole with a metal hoop on top. Still super beautiful and spins like a dream!
For the best aerial performance, the rig requires a 30′ x 30′ footprint and 18′ ceiling height. It can be lower (15′ height) with 25′ x 25′ footprint for smaller spaces. Rigging can sometimes also be done in existing buildings spaces. We have experienced aerial technicians that are ready to survey your event location for aerial capability.
